Days of Summer ‘14
On Monday, May 26th Dr Dickerson will be traveling to Panama City Beach, Florida to serve as the camp doctor for SouthCrest Church’s annual middle‐ and high‐school summer beach camp. Beach camp is the highly anticipated, start‐of‐summer event for the church’s students and their friends. Three hundred students are expected to attend this year’s camp.
During Dr Dickerson’s absence for this event, the clinic will be open as clinic and call coverage have been secured for the holiday shortened week (May 27th–30th). However, any patient requiring a controlled substance prescription refill from May 22nd–June 3rd must request that refill by Wednesday, May 21st in order to have the prescription written prior to Dr Dickerson’s departure. Dr Dickerson will be unavailable to write any controlled substance prescription during her absence.
The clinic will be closed the week of July 7th–11th for Dr Dickerson to attend a Continuing Medical Education (CME) conference. All physicians are required to annually obtain a certain number of CME hours to maintain their medical accreditation. Although the office will be closed to seeing patients, our staff will be answering the phones during our normal business hours to schedule future appointments and to triage acute needs. If you have an acute illness or need that requires seeing a physician, please contact the office of Dr Regina Justice at Just Us Kids at 770-683-5437.
Again, any patient requiring a controlled substance prescription refill from July 2nd–16th must request that refill by Tuesday, July 1st in order to have the prescription written prior to Dr Dickerson’s departure. Dr Dickerson will be unavailable to write any controlled substance prescription during her absence.
In addition to the dates above, the clinic will be closed—
- Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day.
- Friday, July 4th in observance of the 4th of July holiday.
- Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day.
Mission to Jamaica
On Saturday, March 22nd Dr Dickerson will be traveling to the parish of St. Mary in Jamaica as part of a mission team from Newnan’s SouthCrest Church in partnership with American-Caribbean Experience (ACE). During this weeklong trip, Dr Dickerson will be ministering to the people of St. Mary in a medical clinic operated by ACE. Dr Dickerson is among the first pediatricians to visit the clinic, and ACE is excited to have this opportunity to offer pediatric specialty care to the children of the parish. If you would like to support this mission, you may do so via SouthCrest’s website here (click the “Give to Jamaica Teams” button).
While Dr Dickerson is out of the country, the clinic will be open as clinic and call coverage have been secured for the week (March 22nd–29th). However, any patient requiring a controlled substance prescription refill from March 20th–April 1st must request that refill by Wednesday, March 19th in order to have the prescription written prior to Dr Dickerson’s departure. Dr Dickerson will be unavailable to write any prescription during her trip.
